It all started with a jumbo-sized suitcase into which I crammed hoodies, sneakers, hiking shoes, little black dresses-everything but my PC and the kitchen sink. Then I picked up that bulging suitcase and my right arm paid the price. My primary care provider sent me to Dragonfly to deal with the damage to my right bicep and rotor cuff. Lisa, the receptionist greeted me with a sympathetic smile and all the information I needed. The therapist Travis Deabay was equally congenial – and he was confident that we could get the chronic pain down to a half-hearted whimper. Within the space of six 45 minute sessions, he proved his point. All the restorative massaging, stretching, pushing and maneuvering did the trick. Throughout the process, Travis was the soul of patience, caring and good humor. The fact that he loves his work because it makes the world a better place for his clients also makes him an excellent physical therapist.
